Dear BAC friends, COVID-19 has affected us all more than we could have imagined. In accordance with the law, we’ve been navigating numerous postponements and cancellations. A constant state of rescheduling is our current reality. We feel so badly for our brides and our wedding vendor community who are also experiencing this same turbulence. The unknown is unsettling for sure. So we can’t thank everyone enough for their patience and resilience. In this time of social distancing, we are taking the opportunity to perform maintenance and upgrades to our venues—the church and The Annex are going to be even more beautiful when we reopen sometime soon—and Rich is conducting virtual tours of the venue for brides and grooms. Somehow, he makes it really fun for them. Like you, we are focused on what we can do, not on what we can’t do. We are proud of how our city has stayed strong and helped each other press on in the face of uncertainty. We love Wilmington and feel sure we will all come through this closer and better than before. In the meantime, stay safe!

Historic Downtown Wilmington’s Most Stunning Event Venue
Constructed in 1888, St. Andrews Church was the cultural, spiritual, and social center of Wilmington, North Carolina’s, bustling Brooklyn neighborhood for nearly a century. The adjacent, two-story school building, known now as The Annex, was completed in 1910 in memory of the founding charter members of the original Second Presbyterian Church (circa 1858). Today, both buildings have been elegantly restored and refurbished as the Brooklyn Arts Center and The Annex and, along with the charming church manse and the largest private courtyard in the city, comprise the campus that is Historic Downtown Wilmington’s most stunning event venue, the ideal location for any occasion–grand or intimate.Explore our History
