Courtyard

Behind the manse is our beautiful outdoor space, the largest private courtyard in Historic Downtown Wilmington. Enclosed by a tall privacy fence and bordered by six towering crape myrtles, flower beds, and manicured hedges, our beautiful courtyard can host 250 guests for a ceremony or cocktail hour.

There is plenty of power for DJs and musicians, and lighting vendors often install additional lighting—think multiple strands of Edison bulbs and up-lights on the trees. Your caterer has easy access, and your wedding bartenders will be right at home in the shade of the crapes. Your guests arrive down a garden path that wraps around the manse. From there, it’s a breeze down N 4th Street to the main entrance of the church. If your guests are headed to or from The Annex, there is a direct walkway from the courtyard to Campbell Street and The Annex front door. Our church rental fee includes full use of the courtyard with a 15-hour timeframe.
