They found the perfect setting in the Brooklyn Arts Center in Wilmington, NC – a historic venue with soaring ceilings, stained-glass windows, and an old-world elegance that set the stage for an unforgettable weekend!
No couple dreams of bad weather, but when the forecast calls for inclement weather, having a solid backup plan makes all the difference. That’s exactly what made Daniel and Joey’s wedding at the Brooklyn Arts Center so seamless. Their original plan for an outdoor ceremony had to shift due to the weather, but with the Annex as a rain backup and the stunning church venue for their reception, their day turned out to be just as magical-if not more!
When Daniel and Joey chose the Brooklyn Arts Center for their wedding, they knew they were getting more than just a stunning venue – they were stepping into a photographer’s dream. From the historic architecture to the charming streets of Wilmington, every corner of their wedding day was filled with breathtaking backdrops.
Rather than a traditional seated dinner, Daniel and Joey designed a fluid reception layout that encouraged guests to move, mingle and explore. With elegant lounge seating, high-top tables, and intimate gathering areas spread throughout the venue, everyone had the freedom to chat, celebrate, and enjoy the night at their own pace.
For cocktail enthusiasts, the Bourbon Bar was a standout feature of the night. Carefully curated with a selection of premium bourbons, whiskey flights and craft cocktails, it became a gathering spot for guests to sip, savor and compare notes of their favorites. Instead of a traditional wedding cake, Daniel and Joey treated guests to something extra special – a Ben & Jerry’s ice cream station provided by their sister!! It was a nostalgic and delicious touch that had everyone raving, especially as the perfect cool-down after hours of dancing.
