FAQ

Below are some of the frequently asked questions about weddings, concerts and events at Brooklyn Arts Center and The Annex. Don’t see the answer you’re looking for? Please contact us any time and we will be glad to help further.

We are situated on the corner of N 4th and Campbell streets in the heart of Wilmington’s coolest neighborhood, the north side, the Brooklyn Arts District. Home to breweries and bottle shops, cafes and coffee shops, the city’s hippest dive bars, excellent eateries, upscale condos, and renowned art studios, the BAC is a two-minute drive to the downtown hotels, clubs, and restaurants.

Yes. There is plenty of (still) free street parking all around the venue, and we have a lot one block east of the BAC on Campbell Street.

Both the BAC and The Annex are fully handicap accessible—with the exception of the balcony, which is accessible only by the original stairs.

The church can comfortably accommodate up to 250 guests with a DJ and up to 220 guests with a band. The Annex can comfortably accommodate up to 140 guests with a DJ and up to 90 guests with a band.

A sell-out crowd at the BAC is 750 standing, 350 seated.

Absolutely. Both the BAC and The Annex do fabulous ceremonies, cocktail hours, and receptions.

Not a space…a house. Both the BAC and The Annex include incredible bridal suites, each one complete with a salon—that accommodates even the largest bridal parties—a kitchen, a bathroom, and a living room.

What’s the rush? We do a 15-hour rental. That’s six hours to set up, eight hours to celebrate, and one hour to clean up.

Of course. Rehearsal times are designated the day before your wedding in your venue from 10-11 a.m.

We do. After meeting with you, we will recommend preferred planners that we trust with your wedding that we think you will love when you meet them.

There is definitely a list of preferred vendors across all vendor categories. These are vendors with experience in our venue who we trust with our weddings, with your wedding. That is a serious position, we know, but this is your wedding in our venue, and we are promising you a perfect day. That is our one and only focus.

Always. All weddings and events are attended by BAC staff, no exceptions.

You can reach out to us through our website or call us directly. We’ll schedule a time to tour and show you how awesome your wedding will be in Brooklyn.

Although we do weddings every month of the year, we do have off-season rates. Pricing depends on the time of the year and day of the week. Contact us for more information.

We happily accept all credit cards, checks, and cash.

You can certainly pay in our office if you’re here signing your agreement. Or we can access the credit card you’ve listed in your rental agreement. Or you can pay through the payment portal here on our website.

We have full ABC permits on site, so all alcohol is handled through the BAC. We offer several fairly priced and comprehensive beverage packages to fit your budget and compliment your wedding. You tell us what you’d like to drink, we do all the work.

Located in the original church bell tower, our bourbon tasting room is available for your wedding. We have an awesome bourbon bartender and a well-stocked bar. You pay for the bartender and the drinks you consume. It’s that easy.

If the concert does not sell out, then, yes, tickets will be available at the door. For our perennially popular marketplace events, tickets are only available at the door.

Call us directly. Whatever we can do to help you create your perfect wedding day in Brooklyn, we’re delighted to do.
