Below are some of the frequently asked questions about weddings, concerts and events at Brooklyn Arts Center and The Annex. Don’t see the answer you’re looking for? Please contact us any time and we will be glad to help further.
We are situated on the corner of N 4th and Campbell Street in the heart of Wilmington’s coolest neighborhood, the north side, the Brooklyn Arts District. Home to breweries and bottle shops, cafes and coffee shops, the city’s hippest dive bars, excellent eateries, upscale condos, and renowned art studios, the BAC is a two-minute drive to the downtown hotels, clubs, and restaurants.
Yes. There is plenty of (still) free street parking all around the venue. Guests can also use the parking lot on the corner of Campbell Street and N 5th Street. This lot belongs to First Baptist Church.
Both the BAC and The Annex are fully handicap accessible—with the exception of the balcony, which is accessible only by the original stairs.
The church can comfortably accommodate up to 250 guests with a DJ and up to 220 guests with a band. The Annex can comfortably accommodate up to 120 guests with a DJ and up to 90 guests with a band.
A sell-out crowd at the BAC is 750 standing, 350 seated.
Absolutely. Both the BAC and The Annex do fabulous ceremonies, cocktail hours, and receptions.
Not a space…a house. Both the BAC and The Annex include incredible bridal suites, each one complete with a salon—that accommodates even the largest bridal parties—a kitchen, a bathroom, and a living room.
What’s the rush? We do a 15-hour rental from 9:00 am to Midnight. That’s six hours to set up, eight hours to celebrate, and one hour to clean up. We do ask that all parties / events end at 11:00 pm.
The venue opens at 9 a.m.
Of course. Rehearsal times are designated the day before your wedding in your venue from 10-11 a.m.
All brides are required to choose a coordinator and catering company from our preferred vendor list.
While we have a list of vendors who have worked at the venue, you do not have to choose someone from this list for other categories other than Wedding Planner and Catering Company.
